Viv was the Project Director for Brilliant Futures on a social marketing project for Stoke on Trent Primary Care Trust, aimed at reducing smoking rates during pregnancy. In December 2008 the project was voted 'Best Social Marketing Project' in the Health Service Journal awards. Judges praised it as 'an excellent project that scored highly on all criteria… that is highly replicable - potentially at a national level'.
Vivienne worked alongside other social marketing specialists and a dedicated team at Stoke-on-Trent Primary Care Trust. The team applied the social marketing 'national benchmark criteria' (see www.nsmcentre.org.uk) and to achieve an end-to-end social marketing project that achieved measurable, cost effective behaviour change.
